Biography

Originally from China, now New York based Leaf Xia graduated from Parsons the New School of Design this year with BFA in womenswear, showcasing at Parsons 67th Annual Fashion Benefit Runway Show on May, 2015. Her thesis work has also been exhibited in Saks Fifth Avenue Windows Display New York.

Specialising in Collage, Xia uses this medium as a tool to express her unique design spirit. Often featuring oversized shapes with colourful collaged silhouettes that play on classic. Collage techniques and bonded fabrics to bring an unconventional quality new sporty wearability to Xia's work.

Leaf Xia has been named one of Fashion Scout’s SS16 ‘Ones to Watch’ receiving a sponsored catwalk show and exhibition during London Fashion Week on 2015. The success of her fist collection SS16 saw Xia gain notable attention, published on Vogue, Glamour, The Muse, and Schon.
