TONI&GUY hosts annual event Mainstage 2014

TONI&GUY hosted its annual Mainstage event at the iconic Copper Box Arena in the Olympic Park in the heart of London’s East End.

First up, the awards. Toni Mascolo and his daughter Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck presented the accolades, which included: Perfect Salon of the Year, International Salon Business of the Year and label.m Product Expert of the Year.

With the adreline running through the crowd, singing sensation Ella Eyre took the stage and wowed them with hits such as Let it Go and Waiting All Night. With the crowd swept up by the excitement, the show continued with the Jean-Pierre Braganza runway presentation led by TONI&GUY’s International Artistic Director Maria Galatti and the Session Team who created beautifully crafted head pieces to compliment the designs.

Next up, Artistic Directors Philipp Haug and Daniele De Angelis and the TONI&GUY Session Team who created the Future Foundation section of the show. Models stormed down the catwalk showing off the classic cuts and colours, shaped and finished by TONI&GUY’s Professional Haircare range label.m and long-standing partners Wella Professional and L’Oreal Professionnel respectively. This was followed by the label.m Professional Haircare collection presentation which Richard Mannah, label.m International Artistic Director, flew in from New York to head up the team for this achingly cool collection set against the backdrop of band The Vex playing as models strutted down the runway.

The TONI&GUY LEXICON Collection then hit the catwalk. LEXICON took inspiration from the language of hair with Cos Sakkas and Mattia Esposito heading the teams backstage to craft the 2014/2015 creative campaign. It was then over to the boys as Kevin Luchmun and his team matched paired down partings with E.Tautz’s hi-octane tailoring. And it just continued as GILES designs made their way down the runway with Pinar Necati and her team creating bespoke wigs specifically for the show.

And to finish it up, Avant Garde specialists Indira Schauwecker and Chie Sato headed up a runway show using painstakingly technical hair creation and skill to present ethereal other worldly looks.

As the clock struck nine Mainstage finished with a grand finale and then it was time to party!
