Biography

After graduating from London’s Central Saint Martins in 1992, Giles Deacon worked with Jean Charles de Castelbajac in Paris for two years. From 1998 until 2002 he designed at Bottega Veneta and the Gucci Group. After launching his eponymous label in 2004, Giles went on to win ‘Best New Designer’ at The British Fashion Awards before receiving the ‘British Designer of the Year’ title just two years later. In 2009 Giles was given the prestigious ANDAM award. The GILES collection continues to be bought by some of the most reputable stores in the world, including Matches, Hudson Bay, L’Eclaireur, 10 Corso Como, Club Designer, Harvey Nichols Hong Kong, Al Ostoura, Blake, Linda Dresner, Susan of Burlingame, Moda Operandi and Savannah. Giles continues to have a strong celebrity following and regularly dresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Thandie Newton, Kate Moss, Drew Barrymore, Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen, Daisy Lowe, Daphne Guinness, Rita Ora, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kerry Washington. The label continues to receive international acclaim and coverage in celebrated fashion bibles such as Vogue, Grazia, W, Interview, Instyle, Elle and Harpers Bazaar.
