Blumarine Global Fashion Weeks SS22
The collection
Nicola Brognano, Blumarine's new Creative Director, rewrites the brand's lexicon in an intriguing way, with a nod to the women's pop music scene of the 2000s and a look with a glam, flashy sex appeal. The Blumarine woman shows off her body: she is free and confident. She wants to be seen and admired while remaining herself. The collection plays with transparency and bare skin. The colours are bright, the low-waisted cargo pants become provocative evening wear in fluorescent chiffon and worn with a cache-coeur knotted under the breast. Bikinis are scaled down and decorated with fringes, beads and embroidered with vintage floral motifs.
The hair
The hairlooks created follow the inspiration of the collection. The common denominator: enhancing the identity of each model while maintaining the natural texture of her hair and emphasising it. PLI by L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART was the key product backstage, applied to dry hair to create volume and movement. Then the hair was styled with the help of a hairdryer or in some cases where the hair lacked volume, with an iron. Morning After Dust from L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART was then applied to further create more texture. Finally, L'Oréal Professionnel Infinium hairspray was sprayed on to set a cascade of glitter, creating a Fairy-Tale effect! Haillooks that enhance authentic beauty, for sophisticated, playful and totally unique women.
