The Hair
What’s the inspiration behind the hair?
Artistic Director Sophie Springett and the TONI&GUY Session team created a vintage-inspired look with textured rolls featuring colourful accessories to complement the collection theme. The hair features a classic tonged wave that’s sleek, stylish and smooth, embodying the designer’s vision of ‘vintage riot’ – with a punk edge.
The Collection
What’s the inspiration behind the collection?
AW20 is inspired by an on-going absence of coming-of-age stories from a female perspective, where classic literature featuring a female protagonist has never been a story full of livelihood or bravery. The collection takes you on an intimate tour – revisiting the closet of a teenage girl throughout the 90’s grunge and riot movement with nods to Winona Ryder and the whimsical, feisty essence she perceives. Featuring Peter Pan collars, raglan/puff sleeves, embroidery, grungy oversized coats and tartan plaids.

Top Tip 1
Create a side-parting and apply label.m Volume Mousse. Start smoothing the cuticle surface out using label.m Grooming brush
Top Tip 2
Spritz in label.m Hairspray to aid grip and start tonging in horizontal sections – to enhance curl formation with section clips
Top Tip 3
Brush hair out gently to form soft, classic waves. Then using two small chopsticks, create two small vintage rolls for a more textured feel set in the front of the head. Finish with label.m Hairspray and some Shine Mist
