The Hair

  • What’s the inspiration behind the hair?

International Artistic Director Jon Wilsdon and the TONI&GUY Session Team drew on the inspiration of the ‘ringmaster’, with an almost animated perspective where exaggerated waves become the focal point and set off against a sleek ponytail – think fashion illustration as though drawn with a felt pen

    The Collection

What’s the inspiration behind the collection?

Simon Mo AW20 is inspired by a dream, where he found himself to be a wild animal whisperer – able to talk to animals and experience their adventures alongside them. The designer spent time studying vintage veterinary practice and the relationship between circus animals and their trainers.

The collection was presented through the eyes of childhood innocence. Prints and shapes are heavily inspired by the costumes of vintage circus trainers and wild animals. Giraffe print burnout, knitwear inspired by chinchillas - all made from faux animal skins. Silhouettes borrowed from veterinarian uniforms and outerwear are all highlights.
