Join us backstage and front-row at London Fashion Week Men’s for Private Policy AW19 presented by GQ China, where International Artistic Director Daniele De Angelis created multiple looks to interpret the collections three characters: robbers, workers and bankers.

What’s the inspiration behind the collection?

The Private Policy FW19 collection tells the story of four characters who are integral to the money system: bankers, workers, police officers, and robbers. Blending downtown streetwear aesthetic with structured pieces, the collection radicalizes formal silhouettes and creates garments that have an easy-going flow. The AW19 colour palette ranges from rich browns, greys, and black to pops of gold, burnt orange and vibrant orange. Highlights include oversized tailored wool coats and outerwear referencing bankers; clear quilted vests and harnesses that pay homage to police officers and robbers; and denim utility workwear representing the working class..

What’s the inspiration behind the hair?

Daniele De Angelis and the TONI&GUY session team worked with the design-duo to interpret three of the characters specifically for the show: robbers’ workers and bankers with a view to complement the dynamic collection.
