The Hair
What’s the inspiration behind the hair?
Fragility is continued in the hair by International Artistic Director Cos Sakkas and the TONI&GUY Session Team by looking into human strength, with a softness on top and solidity underneath. Inspiration is also driven from architecture and dilapidated buildings, with the bottom section reflecting the solid structure of the house and the loose hair on top represents the crumbling walls.
The Collection
What’s the inspiration behind the collection?
Now in its third season, Wen Pan fuses the spirit of oriental recluses with romantic grunge aesthetics. By using raw fluidity and layers of textures, Wen Pan evokes characters in a balance of subtlety and freedom for SS20 the brand explores the beauty of brokenness, traces of human presence. Chinese ancient recluses and the 1990 grunge. This is seen through contrasting floral prints and textures, mixing fragile linen layers and sheer silk fabrics with rough cotton drapery and asymmetric cutting.
