This year marks the 40th anniversary of the prestigious event, which recognises the most exciting creative talents in UK hairdressing. Held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane, London, on Monday 25th November, over 1,400 guests walked the red carpet to celebrate, with ten regional categories, eight specialist awards, and the ultimate accolade of the evening, British Hairdresser of the Year.
Hosted by Rylan Clarke, Hairdressers Journal International Executive Director Jayne Lewis-Orr, Schwarzkopf Professional General Manager UK and Ireland, Julian Crane and Hairdressers Journal International Editor Charlotte Grant-West and Deputy Editor Sian Jones, the evening saw the 1400-strong audience entertained and inspired with a variety of entertainment, as well as a celebration of the awards' 40th year anniversary.
There was a fabulous show from sponsors Schwarzkopf Professional's Global Ambassador Tyler Johnston, a moving tribute to Trevor Sorbie, as well as the eight British Hairdresser of the Year nominees, plus a performance by Pixie Lott.

Efi Davies, TONI&GUY Sloane Square was crowned Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year for the second time.
Following his second win in 2023, Cos Sakkas was again crowned British Hairdresser of the Year for the third year running – the first person ever to.
Jon Wilsdon, TONI&GUY Manchester was crowned North West Hairdresser of the Year for the second time.
Jude McEwen, TONI&GUY Perth, Australia won International Collection of the Year.
Charley Henery & Michela Bazzoli, TONI&GUY Wimbledon and Islington were crowned British Colour Technician’s Hairdresser of the Year.
Annabel Payne, TONI&GUY Covent Garden London was crowned Newcomer of the Year.
