Who is Salon Foundations for?
Stylists and colour technicians in the final stages of training who want to build confidence before entering the salon environment. Professionals looking to perfect specific areas of their education and strengthen their existing technical skills. Aspiring salon staff trainers who want to develop a strong foundation in fundamental cutting or colouring techniques.
What are the course fees?
1 -day = £380 + VAT 2 - days = £650 + VAT 3 - days £850 + VAT
Do you offer payment plans?
Fees for this course are payable in full at the time of booking to secure your place.
What will I learn?
By the end of the course, you will have developed and refined key salon foundation techniques, including: •Perfecting a strong, precise baseline •Creating long, medium and short layers •Developing texturizing techniques •Developing professional styling techniques •Understanding product selection and how to use products effectively to achieve the desired result
What do I need to bring?
Students need to bring a full hairdressing kit including scissors; razor; hairdryer; combs; brushes; sectioning clips. We provide styling products, models
What is the course format?
You can choose to complete the course over 1, 2 or 3 days. The course content for each option is outlined in the “What You’ll Learn” section below.

DAY 1: BUILD THE FOUNDATIONS

CUTTING
Master the core techniques behind great salon hair - One Length, Graduation and Layering. Learn how to create clean, precise shapes and understand the fundamentals that give you confidence behind the chair.

COLOUR
Build a strong foundation across Tinting, Highlighting, Balayage and Pre-lightening. Learn the principles behind professional colour placement, sectioning and application to create consistent, salon-ready results.

DAY 2: DEVELOP YOUR TECHNIQUE

CUTTING
Build on the foundations from Day 1 with further demonstrations and practical work. Develop your understanding of shape, texture, styling and personalisation, learning how to adapt your technique to create modern, individual results.

COLOUR
Take your colour skills further through demonstrations and hands-on practice. Refine your understanding of placement, blending, tones and colour selection, learning how to create results that feel bespoke to each client.

DAY 3: REFINE, APPLY & ELEVATE

CUTTING
Take your technique to the next level with further Artistic Team demonstrations, introducing additional techniques and refining your approach to shape, precision, texture and finish. Put it all into practice on live models, developing the confidence to create polished, personalised salon results.

COLOUR
Build on your colour foundations with further demonstrations and advanced applications, refining your approach to placement, blending, tone and finish. Work hands-on with live models to consolidate your technique and create confident, client-focused results.
