The show

What’s the inspiration behind the collection?

This season, JOLIIN WU has created a collection for everyone. Mixing womenswear with her first menswear collection, Wu breaks the boundaries of the runway in an attempt to speak to a wider audience. The AW19 collection attempts to establish a simultaneous coexistence between mens’ and womenswear, while interpreting the world of the future from the perspective of both sexes. Not explicitly aiming for gender neutrality, AW19 aims to convey the importance of every individual, and the future preservation of their own unique style.

What’s the inspiration behind the hair?

Philipp and team recreated the effect of a girl walking through rain – a natural feel, yet wet appearance in the form of a low-slung ponytail, worn rather loose on the sides and with a weathered, almost wind-blown fringe sporadically framing the front of the face.

Get the look

Get the look at home using the award-winning label.m haircare range.

  1. Step 1

Apply label.m Volume Mousse throughout and blast with a hairdryer.

  2. Step 2

Proceed to blow-dry in sections to help smooth out the cuticle from root to tip.

  3. Step 3

Create a low-slung ponytail with either a small centre or off-centre parting – leaving the sides quite loose, slightly curved and secure using an elastic band.

  4. Step 4

Use a little of the hair itself to hide the elastic, then use small amounts of label.m Hairspray to hold the hair in place and blow-dry a little more to increase stability.

  5. Step 5

Apply label.m Fashion Edition Wax Spray liberally on top of the head for a look that looks like the hair has been caught in the rain, and bring forward specific parts of the fringe so the whole look is naturally windswept.
