An effortless take on a classic style with plenty of softness and movement.
Embracing the craftsmanship of the classic top knot International Artistic Director and British Hairdresser of the Year nominee, Cos Sakkas along with the TONI&GUY Session Team paid homage to structural tailoring synonymous with Paul Costelloe’s clothing. A soft frame and face-framing strands to evoke the softness and movement that Paul loves to see when his designs come to life. Hair was prepped with label.m Volume Mousse, before a ponytail at the crown was created and secured into a clean, neat chignon. Finished with plenty of label.m Hairspray to set. Also see the look at Halpern, Roland Mouret and Edward Crutchley.
"This look is a beautiful progression from last season where we saw low chignons. For spring-summer we’ve shifted the chignon to the top of the head and made it a little looser, working with each models’ individuality." Cos Sakkas, Toni&Guy Global Creative Director and Head of Education
Inspired by the Ancient Celtic Art and Illuminated Manuscript of The Book of Kells, Paul Costelloe’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection saw Costelloe interpret the scrollwork designs and microscopic detailing of the Book of Kells, using bespoke linen fabrics to evoke the feel of the celtic tradition and a culture long past, which has its place in the turbulence of today. Turning dark times into lighter hopes for the future, the Celtic designs work organically with his use of natural fabrics such as printed and woven linens.
